Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR)
A membrane-based grafting technique directing the body to grow new bone exactly where needed — a barrier membrane shields the graft from fast-growing gum tissue so slower bone cells fill the space.
The defect is exposed/cleaned, graft material placed and shaped, and a resorbable/reinforced membrane secured over it, often layered with PRF. Gum closed tension-free; new bone matures over 4–6 months and is verified with CBCT before implants.
Patients with bone defects around planned implant sites, bone loss from periodontal disease/infection, thin bone walls after extraction, or small-to-moderate defects around existing implants.
