iTero Digital Scanner
The iTero intraoral scanner replaces goopy impressions with a fast, comfortable digital scan of the teeth, gums, and bite. These digital models drive implant planning, splint fabrication, bite analysis, and precisely fitting restorations.
How it works
A small wand is passed over the teeth and gums while it captures thousands of frames per second and stitches them into a full-color 3D model in real time. The model can be checked and re-scanned on the spot, then aligned with the CBCT volume so the surface of the teeth and the bone beneath them exist in one coordinate system.
What it means for patients
No trays, no impression material, no gagging, and no repeat appointment because a mold pulled or distorted. Scans are more accurate than physical impressions, they can be stored and compared over time to track wear and recession, and they let you see your own bite on screen while treatment is explained.
How Diamond Arch uses it
Digital scans are taken at the consultation and reused throughout treatment — merged with the CBCT for guided implant planning, sent to the lab for restorations and full-arch prosthetics, and used to fabricate night guards and TMJ splints that fit on the first try.
