Tooth Extractions with Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF)
A tooth extraction enhanced with Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) — a healing membrane created from a small sample of the patient's own blood. PRF concentrates platelets, growth factors, and white blood cells into a natural scaffold placed into the extraction socket immediately after the tooth is removed.
After local anesthesia (with sedation available), the tooth is removed atraumatically to preserve surrounding bone. A small blood sample is drawn and spun in a centrifuge chairside to produce the PRF clot or membrane, which is placed into the socket and secured with sutures. The visit typically takes under an hour.
