Vestibuloplasty
A surgical deepening of the vestibule — the fold between gums and cheek/lip — increasing usable ridge height for denture stability and restoring attached tissue where muscle pulls have crept in.
Under local anesthesia or sedation, muscle attachments encroaching on the ridge are repositioned and the vestibule deepened, using laser assistance and grafting or a stent to maintain the new depth while healing.
